This is a DARK romance, more dark than romance. Don't pick this up if you can't stomach all other dark romances. It is a mind trip. As a warning, the characters are in high school but I did age them up in my head. While they're 17 ish I easily aged them to college and it can still work with the story.

did I question my sanity while reading this? absolutely because i loved every single second on this book and you bet your sweet asses i’ll be reading way more harleigh beck after this omg.

this was definitely not a romance story, but it was hot and it was horror and omg. Its a whole different experience, that’s for sure.

THAT ENDING? PART 3??? i was shook. i was gobsmacked. i kept saying every little thing to my boyfriend because i was like “WHAT?”

First and foremost, please read the trigger warnings before diving into this book. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed it - the story kept me on my toes the entire time. I always know I've read a good book when I find myself repeatedly asking "what?" or "why?" throughout the pages, and this book was no exception. Just when I thought I had a grasp on what was happening, I would turn the page and be thrown off yet again. The plot twists were mind-blowing and unexpected, and my heart ached for the main character. If you're a fan of horror novels with a bit of spice, this book is definitely for you. However, if you're new to the genre, please heed the trigger warnings - it's not for the faint of heart.
dark mysterious

Whoa... this book is on a whole different level.

I'm not sure what I think, I'm a little dazed.. definitely lived up to the horror / dark hype!

This was absolutely incredible! So dark and crazy and I loved every second of it.

This was my first Harleigh Beck book. I actually have this and Chokehole on my TBR. I had this on my KU Libra for a month but I finally read it. I enjoyed this. When I first read the prologue and then the first chapter I was like this kinda seems like I know what you did last summer a little. However it did change from that. I was confused at some parts, loved the spicy parts and enjoyed the ending especially epilogue 2.
