Que puedo decir, no es una maravilla, pero me entretuvo lo suficiente como para decir que pase un buen rato. Ademas los personajes no me parecieron tan terriblemente antipáticos, Violet es demasiado conforme con su situación, fuera otra estaría luchando por lograr la libertad y formando toda una rebelión. El libro transcurre muy lineal a través de su vida y las miles de descripciones de vestidos. El romance es demasiado sencillo como si todo fuera color de rosas, aunque analizando la situación, una mujer que no a tenido contacto con muchos hombres, puede caer en las redes de cualquiera. Ash (creo que así se escribe) no me pareció un hombre de carácter, creo que prefería a Garnet, tenia mejor personalidad y eso que lo único interesante fueron las palabras que pronuncio al final del libro. Realmente atrapa el sistema de Augurios, pero no supieron desarrollar el tema como para darle mayor complejidad a la trama, se enfocaron en miles de visitas al medico y realmente ahora que lo pienso en nada en concreto. Creo que señalare el hecho de que la novela nos trata de transmitir o por lo menos "hace el intento", como a veces la sociedad e incluso los hombres machistas ven a la mujer como un simple objeto para la reproducción. Son temas demasiado complejos el hecho de utilizar inseminación artificial, que una parte de la sociedad no pueda reproducirse y utilice a otra para poder crear un embrión perfecto. Bueno en conclusión todo se resume en una tarde que me hizo olvidar mis obligaciones de trabajo y despejar la mente.
Dieses Buch wäre wohl ein 5 Sterne Buch für mich gewesen, hätte ich es vor 5 Jahren gelesen.
Eine YA Dystopie mit einer wirklich interessanten Idee - eine interessante Welt und durchaus interessante Charaktere.
Was mir gut gefallen hat ist die Beschreibung der Welt, die Problematik der Welt und mir haben tatsächlich die meisten Nebencharaktere sehr gefallen.
Negativ ... und das ist wirklich mega negativ: INSTA LOVE. Oh mein Gott ich konnte nicht glauben das es hier passieren würde, aber es ist passiert. Es war lächerlich, unglaubwürdig und hat dem Buch super geschadet, denn viele Entscheidungen, Wendungen etc wurden durch die Liebesgeschichte beeinflusst.
Hoffnung war dennoch da. Kann ja nur besser werden, wa?

This book had so much potential and I was so excited but the romance plot line had hardly any time to evolve and made the protagonist make such stupid decisions. It honestly ruined the book for me. Every time Ash’s name came on the page I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes.
Ik was eerst best wel sceptisch over dit boek maar toen ik eenmaal begon pakte het me gelijk. Kruising tussen the selection en the handmaids tale. Heel goede plottwist/cliffhanger aan het eind dus ga zeker de volgende ook lezen
Gave up. Just another one in a wave of awful dystopian YA. Wow, shocking.
I give it a 3.5. There were a lot of holes in this story that desperately needed fixing.
Reading this again 9 years later is kind of wild. I still enjoyed it and a lot of my initial thoughts are still the same. The world is interesting and this book is darker than I remember. The instalove was annoying and taking all those risks for a stranger? Hardest of passes. I honestly have no clue what happens next but I’m intrigued.

I was not a fan of the insta love. It just seemed very unrealistic to me and was kind of off putting. The whole premise of this story is original and very dark in a way. This definitely left off on a cliffhanger. The cover is absolutely gorgeous!
