Much more thoughtful and even self-aware than I expected. The fun, tense casino sequence gives way to surprisingly melancholy romance, with a doozy of a monologue regarding good and evil. I do, however, find it amusing that history's horniest spy only takes cold showers.
The first two thirds are delightful. Bond is a short-sighted misogynist who gets captured and tortured as a result. The last third is awful and is only there to validates his sexism.
