Anthologies always take me ages to get through.
I really enjoyed this overall. I loved seeing the different retelling of fairytales and classical plays, like Sleeping Beauty and Macbeth. I think my favourite was ‘Early to Rise’ because of the genderfluid representation, I really resonated with “girl-days” and “boy-days”. I also loved “The Wish-Giver”, it made me very emotional.
I’m also super thankful for the content warnings being laid out at the start of each story.
