I finished the book in 2-3 hours. I enjoyed it and I like it. I like how story pan out. I wasn’t expected the twist and more twist. I have some emotions connection related to siblings, one part about main character leaving her brother at some kind of boarding school, it really hit me hard deep inside of myself. Like deep as I had a personal experience related to it.
100% Recommended to anyone who enjoy dark story and smut stuff!

This was definitely a dark retelling of Peter Pan where Wendy falls in love the Hook - the supposed villain. Hook aka James is the center of a large syndicate and organizations. James is also an orphan because of Wendy's father. So when Wendy happens across one of James' bars, he realizes its the perfect time to enact his revenge against her father. Instead, he may end up losing his heart.
I liked this retelling of Peter Pan, where Hook was more morally grey and Wendy was kept under her father's thumb. There were a few twists that really made the story "hook" me in. The romance was dark and spicy and the storyline sucked me in!

Honestly this books had potential, but the extreme smut isn’t my vibe. I felt like the charters lacked depth I wanted to learn more about the main characters past and what brought him to his current Situation, but all I really learned is how much he wanted to get it on with the leading female character with a side of plot. So if you’re into fairytales turned into spice this would most likely be your thing, but for me it gets 2 stars, because it just wasn’t cup of tea. I wish so badly that there was more story and less sex but to each their own.

I loved this book. The chemistry, the tension, the suspense. All of it made for a great dark romance. I love that they still got their HEA because I was STRESSED. I consumed this book in a matter of days, so I’d definitely recommend it. James and his love confessions? Oh my god, I couldn’t get enough of it. The one thing I will say is that it was indeed predictable, so I ended up guessing the plot twists right at the beginning. Obviously though, I still read and thoroughly enjoyed it!

I’ve been seeing this book everywhere and honestly I get the hype. It’s simple in concept like it’s a basic dark romance but with the genius references it made it so much more fun. I just wished they changed Wendy’s name not to mention she has another brother, justice for him!
