Stockholm Syndrome Romance... Ummm there is something disturbing about the FMC being 20 years old. It just is! It was so distracting to me, I didn't enjoy the book. I am not sure if it was the writing style or cringe internal monologues of the characters or BOTH. The plot twist was good, predictable but good. Nothing was really descriptive, it reads like someone is telling you a story, which is overly casual. Even though it is a contemporary dark romance, no world building, no real character building. The back stories were good but even that was limited. I am gonna try book 2 just in cause its me (...am I the problem)
