I LOVED this book so much. I loved the creative liberties they took with taking the original cast and story and making it their own. The villain truly does get the girl and I ate it UP!! Morally grey? Nah, let's go with jet black.
The plot twists were CRAZY!!Moira being the one to sell hook out and sleep with others. Smee being James cousin!! Literally plotting the revenge since the beginning of his uncle's death. And Jonathan actually being James half brother because Wendy's mom slept with James dad, and that was the reason why Peter killed the family. And even killed his wife!! 🤯🤯(as a side note, f*ck tina. Its not every tina, but its always a tina😒💅🏽)
Everything tied together so we'll and it was really enjoyable to hear
It was nice to have some depth with James, not just being evil because.Tying his trauma with ticking clocks with his uncle who's secaully and physically abuse him. (My poor baby😭😭)
I liked how they show the 2 parallels of smee and James. Both being very similar in their plots for revenge and gettinf even. But see is James without Wendy. And he is different now.
Wendy also grew too, showing she isnt just a small niave girl. She can be a little dirty and mean at times. And wont always take everyone's sh*t.
Im glad that Wendy and James are happy now. With their new and growing family. (Its funny how they said they didnt know Wendy was pregnant, and im like james....you c*me in her...be so fr..)
Because it started with a little bit of faith, misplaced trust, missing pixie dust, and a villian who just needed to steal a little love😭😭 (this quote is so cute like holy sh*t kill me)
