I loved this retelling!! The little fairytale elements are done in such a great way. I went in thinking I was getting a more fantasy book and was so glad I was wrong! The love story between Wendy and Hook was great, I will say even I was nervous for a minute that Wendy was not so innocent! The suspense and little twists thrown in there kept me guessing!! Can’t wait to start the next one!

I absolutely loved this book, I don’t know why I hadn’t started this series til now! It had everything I love, dark, twisty and who doesn’t love a villain that gets his happy ever after? I really enjoyed James character, I loved his whole dark and twisted personality and I generally can’t not fault him, I loved how he was portrayed and I mean we all could do with a hook in our life. Wendy was a different story, I couldn’t really gel with her character and till the last 30% of the book and I just wish she was portrayed as that personality for the whole book unlike how she always seemed to need someone by her side because I think she could of been a real badass female main character. The writing was extremely well done and I can’t wait to continue with this series I have a feeling this might just become one of my top series!!
