3 stars. My least favorite volume so far (as it seems to always be the case when it comes to third volumes of graphic novels...but I digress) and it was just a hot mess. I understand what they were trying to do by having it be little stories of the school year in flashbacks but all the different art styles and overall pacing just clashed together terribly. Nothing felt complete. Though I will say I did enjoy the last story with them chasing the vampire because it reminded me why I like this series in the first place. It's silly, innocent fun and for that I can't give it less than 3 stars. I still really like this series and besides because of how enjoyable it is I really do like the characters. Especially Maps and Pomeline. I still look forward to the next volume.

I'm a bit disappointed with that volume. The short stories really kill the flow of the main story and make it very less interesting.

There was a bit too much going on in this volume. Too many stories that didn't contribute to the overall premise. The last story was pretty interesting though. I would give it a 3.5.

Not my favorite. The super short stories and varying art styles made for a really disjointed story line. It was too all over the place for me. There were some stories I really liked. But it wasn't enough to keep it from being, overall, a bit of a disappointment for me.

Sort of the equivalent of a weird clip show at the end of a season, which was disappointing.

Though i'm very much used to the original drawings from the previous volumes, I found this vol. very interesting as we, the readers, saw new and different arts for the comic. Also, the storyline was cool and gave us some new interesting views on what has happened at the Academy.

This felt like the weakest instalment of the three for a few different reasons. This volume is full of a bunch of short stories thrown together of a "yearbook" that Maps writes up for herself of all the adventures their Detective Club has. While the stories themselves were individually cute/funny/creepy, all together it was just a bit tedious. It was cool seeing all the different art styles for each story, although it did get jarring occasionally.

To top it all off, the volume seemed to be starting with a mysterious, huge situation, and then is never mentioned again. I spent the entire volume anticipating more plot, and instead got more filler stories, which resulted in disappointment overall.

I'm all for filler stories, but only if I know there'll be more plot later. Knowing the series is discontinued after Second Semester made this particular volume a flop.

Overall: 3.5/5

Jez, this was an awful and incoherent mess.
What a long fall from the first volume.
This was just a random collection of short stories with at times horrible artwork.
