A good ending. I enjoy the series, though the first was the best.
Not all of King's books are equally amazing and I, too, get annoyed with the extreme political focus of his newer works in particular. But dangit, the man can tell a story.
I liked this book. It was a good wrap up to the triology. Gwendy remains a likable character. The story flowed pretty well and the characters are well developed as in the other two. I listened to this one and couldn't quite get into it like the others. This one was written in the heat of the pandemic when tensions were high and King started to get more political in his books. While he and I align in feelings, I do wish he would leave it out of his books. Or at least make it less a part of his stories. It did make me like this book a litlte less because it distracted too much from the main story and wrapping up Gwendy's mission. However, I am glad I read it and finished the series.
Big fun. Cool setting. Enthralling. Engaging. Touched on some of the greatest hits topics. A little redundant now and then. Love a firm ending.
As the title indicates, this third book in the trilogy wraps up all of the loose ends and brings Gwendy's story to a fine and satisfying conclusion. Gwendy’s Final Task is the final novel in a trilogy that has a girl, later a woman, and Final an aging Senator Gwendy Peterson carrying around a Pandora’s Box, which emits irresistible treats and could end the universe as we know it. Gwendy is battling early Alzheimer's and must remember what she has to do with the box to save humanity.
Ka moves us all, and there are other worlds than this.
Gwendy sailed toward the clearing and remembered the face of her father.
EDIT: Wait... Farris is ~FLAGG~??!

Love me some King. Love me some Chizmar. This was… fine.

A brilliant and surprisingly moving conclusion to the Gwendy trilogy! This full-length novel has terrific plot twists and action sequences, but the true delight is Gwendy herself and her personal journey.
