This is not how I thought I wanted this series to end, but it was actually perfect. So perfect. This whole trilogy was a fun and emotional adventure and I loved it. The second book is probably still my favorite but I really liked this one too. It was well paced. I love the characters. I shed some tears. The good and bad kind. It was just a really solid ending I thought. Again, different than what I thought I wanted... but somehow just perfect.

There were moments when I was so really close to throwing this book across my room. This book is so heartbreaking. It is my favorite from the trilogy and not because it has the ending battle in it. It is my favorite because I notice how much Alina starts to appreciate those around her and I think that that is the best development she has made in the series.
