Honestly thought the ending was charming! The beginning was so tedious to get through though, I had to skip some pages because I just wanted anything interesting to happen...

Oh. My. Saints.
There are only two important things in this fucking book:
FIRST:

SECOND:
ALEKSANDER

Why do the endings always break my heart :(
I realized while reading that it was really hard to stay completely in the story because I had forgotten many many details of the previos books so sometimes I didn’t understand what they were referring to but it was too hard to try and check so I just had to continue not completely understanding everything.
Otherwise it was much better than the previous book and even though they still had the quest going for most of the book, there was enough other things happening that kept me engaged which did not happen with the previous book. Overall it was really good but maybe I’m just too much of a sucker for happy endings (not saying this wasn’t happy but it wasn’t all the happy I wanted) to feel like the resolution wasn’t what I was hoping for.

This trilogy would have been so much better if only Alina wasn’t an ‘I can fix him (no, I really can)’ girl. It’s always the FMC with no interesting qualities, and the MMC(s) can’t help but fall in love with her because “She’s different.”
Thankfully, this torture is finally over, and now I can finally read Six of Crows.

The way I read this in a day and it really was a roller coaster
I am no longer a mal hater I may even like him now (Nikolai is #1 tho)
They had an ordinary life, full of ordinary things - if love can ever be called that. Such a satisfying ending
