This was so much fun! Really enjoyed it, and Hannah and Jack were such a great couple - you can't help but root for them

I loved this story!! All I want to do is read another novel in Connie’s Texas ranch house or maybe be invited to her next Thanksgiving dinner party.

Writing: punchy, chefs kiss | Plot: fun fantasy escape! | Ending: I ACTUALLY LOVED THE EPILOGUE
SYNOPSIS
Hannah is in the trenches but at least she has work... Her most recent 'protection' assignment is to keep superstar actor, Jack Stapleton, safe from a Corgi-breeding, sweater-knitting super stalker.
MY OPINION
OOHHWEEE!! I LOVED THIS!!!!!!! I laughed. I got a smidge emotional. And I even smiled during the epilogue which NEVER happens. I would ban epilogues if I could, but this was exceptionally written. And the plot was really fun. THIS is why I read romcoms. I want to read about crazy rich and famous male love interests falling for regular degular people. Give me all the probably misogynistic romance fantasies!!!!
Anyways. This is a five star banger so I don't have anything bad to say. If you like Lindsey Kelk's writing and sense of humour, you will LOVE this. I legitimately laughed out loud several times, to the point it kinda scared my dog. STUMPS. IYKYK. I'm a sucker for an out-of-pocket nickname. The banter between Jack and Hannah was perfect—I wish there had been more one-on-one scenes with them. I thought Jack's backstory was flushed out well enough and I liked that she didn't go the typical 'gilded cage' approach with him but instead focused on his family. Hannah's backstory was more glossed over but it served its purpose.
I also thought Hannah's unique job was a fantastic touch to your standard fake dating, sorta forced proximity, one bed romcom. I definitely couldn't do this job; I'm too nosey and jumpy. And despite Hannah being a total baddie, I appreciated that she didn't stomp around with her chest puffed out acting like the biggest, scariest wolf in the room. She didn't give me severe 'I'm not like other girls' energy, which I was lowkey nervous about going into this book.
The supporting cast was also fantastic, especially Kelly. I'd LOVE a book focusing on Kelly and Doghouse!!!! Taylor and Bobby (iykyk) can go touch grass TBH. I hope Bobby falls into the River Thames ... respectfully.
The only question I have is WHEN IS THE MOVIE COMING OUT??? I'LL BE THERE RAIN, SNOW, TSUNAMI!!!!!

PROS AND CONS
Pros: GREAT premise, legit funny, well-written, fast-paced, perfect length, NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP YOU'RE WELCOME, loved the banter, bingeable read, I could go on and on and on...
Cons: NADAAAAAA!!!!!
