Not worth starting. While the books are actually quite good, the author never finished the series and book 3 ends on a cliff hanger. Since there were only a few months between the first 3 and book 3 came out a year ago, it doesn’t seem likely that book 4 is coming.

Unique academy NA fantasy. Romance takes a back seat in this one, but I didn't mind. The story was so fresh that I had to concentrate extra hard to make sure I was understanding new concepts. It is a fascinating world that kept me at the edge of my seat. I did miss the romance, but it was refreshing to see a NA book that doesn't focus primarily on seggs. There was still some romance, but it certainly wasn't the main point. This book delved into a different level of maturity taking on mental health, racism, and prejudice. It felt metaphorical and fantastical all at once. I loved it and I cannot wait to read the next two books in this gorgeous trilogy.

A well written story that was captivating from the start. Liliah was an easy character to understand, her hardships growing up different then her piers. I look forward to continuing this story and hoping she stays true to her heart.

If you enjoy Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and other magical/human novels this is one to pick up.
