I've been assigned this tale twice for school, and I've enjoyed it both times. It's easy to follow and easy to get through, but it's also an interesting look back to a time that doesn't even feel real. Yes, I know headless knights and magical shields were never real, but they feel as real as the 1390s do.

Don't say you love the anime (A24's The Green Knight) if you haven't read the manga (Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by unknown).

This was so much fun! We read the Middle English text with a reading group and I really enjoyed it. The ending is wild and the book is pretty humorous

I’m sorry but I loved this. From the evangelical symbolism to the overarching theme about morals and being “great” vs “good”, its a beautiful piece of writing.
