I struggle with how to rate this book. I love the overall message. I love the growth that Siddharta achieves. But throughout most of the book, he is a prat-and I struggled with his relationship with Kamala (or rather her relationship with him).

This book follows Siddhartha's journey to find meaning in life. He leaves his family to immerse himself in various lifestyles, nomadic, religious, and industrious. Even though the book is based on the Buddhist religion, what Siddhartha discovers is meaningful insight that should resonate for anyone from any cultural background.

I recommend this book to almost everyone. It's short, but has a powerful message.
