This book was definitely gripping and entertaining in its YA dystopian way (VERY heavily inspired by Red Queen and Divergent, with some notes of Hunger Games and Fourth Wing). I guessed the biggest reveal very early on, but there were some things along the way that surprised me. I didn't hate the main couple together but I wasn't aggressively rooting for their relationship either. I felt as though secrets were treated too lightly in such an apparently high-stakes world. I wanted a lot more worldbuilding and setting details!

Best dystopian I’ve read in a LONG time! Slow burn was 🔥🔥 and enjoyed the FMC & MMC’s dynamic. Loved every minute of this intense ride and can’t wait till the second book comes out of this trilogy.

Okey so I don’t really know what I feel about this, like is it as bad as some people say it is? No not really, but is it good? Also no. The idea of this book is good but the execution is very lacking. To name one example: what is the goal? Like there is sort of a plot but absolutely no end goal in sight.
