Love the relationship that starts between Shirayuki and Zen.
Shirayuki - favourite character so far
Love that each chapter is centred on medicine in some way (4th being Shirayuki starting to see if she can become a pharmacist for the court, example)

This was a fun start, and so easy to get into. I’m looking forward to some character development from all the characters, but especially getting to know some of the side characters.

I liked it, but I prefer the anime. The characters and the plot were more fleshed out, and the dialogue was more entertaining. It was also a bit difficult to keep track of who was talking, and some of the dialogue just felt a bit off. That said, it's the author's first book, and I want to see where the story goes after the end of the anime, so I'm going to keep reading. I also enjoyed the author's commentary. The art style is also really nice, and I liked that the author did so much background research. I was worried that Shirayuki would fall into the "not like other girls" trope, but that was not the case at all.
