blech...It was painful to actually read this book. If it wasn't the bookclub pick of the month (Id did not choose it!) I would not have finished it. I probably would have put it down after the first chapter!!

Trouble by Samantha Towle is about Mia, who is running from her past. She lands far away from home and sleeps in a hotel. There she meets Jordan, who is a womanizer through and through. He knows that Mia as a guest in his father’s hotel is a no-go for him, but he can't stop thinking about her. Slowly Mia recovers from her past, but it haunts her and Jordan tries to help.

This book was for free on Amazon and I had low expectations for it. When I started reading it, my heart broke for Mia. Her past is terrible. Samantha Towle wrote about it in such a realistic way that made me feel terrible. On the other side, Mia is a helpful and friendly woman and tries to help where she can. She has a lot of problems she has to deal with in this book. Speaking about problems, I think Samantha Towle did a good job writing about such a tragedy. Maybe she dealt with it a bit to light-hearted, but all in all, I think it is realistic. Jordan is the male protagonist in the story. He is a womanizer and becomes a supporting man within the story. For me it was a bit of a radical chance. His past is also not sunshine and flowers, but that was his own fault. Mia and Jordan make a really good team to be honest.

I have to say that I really liked this book. I read it in one day. There was one logical mistake in the book if I am not mistaken. But I liked to story and how it was written. I enjoyed reading the book and can recommend it.

It took me a while to finish this. I don't know what it was, but the story just didn't grab me. It started off with a bang, but then it leveled off and never picked back up--I think there was just too much thinking and inner dialogue for my tastes. I still enjoyed reading it, and I really liked the characters, but for me, it just seemed to be missing something.

I loved The Mighty Storm, so I'll definitely be looking forward to more from this author in the future!

I don't like the characters.

Mia talks about being scared of men and that all men are bad but she's comfortable with Jordan after knowing him for less than a day.

Jordan, of course, has never felt like this before and Mia is so intriguing to him.

I wasn't interested to read about them.

I still want to try other books by this author as I liked a different book by her but I just wasn't in the mood for this kind of book.

4.5 Super strong stars!!!! Is there such thing as true love, love at first sight or having an instant connection with someone upon meeting? I am a believer and this story just shows that there are more people that believe the same things as I do. No one is perfect and we all have baggage some more than others but if we let the ones we love and connect with in to help carry some of that weight, we can all find that someone that completes us.

This story is beautiful and heartbreaking while dealing with some real heavy human issues. I laughed and cried because of the way the author told the story as if you are having a conversation with these characters. I loved the witty, smart banter between Mia and Jordan then throwing is Dozer, I laughed and chuckled just at the possibility that this love triangle could exist. It also balanced all the tough topics within the story.

Completely and utterly addictive! Towle’s work is amazing and I’m not sure HOW I didn’t read this one before now. Page turning and gripping, grab this 4 star read now.
