Repetitive. My lort, so repetitive.

This could have been so much better. All of the building blocks were there to make this a phenomenal thriller - instead, it was 200 pages of useless dribble leading up to a less than climactic twist and a sub par ending.

Zannah is a champ. We love Zannah.
And Tilly.

I went into this really hoping for some weird, Sci-fi esque story about clones and ended up with a pretty upsetting (and not in a good way) domestic abuse story. Ugh.

I persevered with this as my sister gave me it to read, and I felt I should complete it.
It would have been so easy to put this down at the start as it wasn’t gripping me. I found the main character so frustrating, unlikeable and unrealistic. In fact a lot of the characterisation fell a bit flat for me.
The plot didn’t massively intrigue me and the ending was so blah-
the bad guy ended up being the bad guy, surprise surprise!

I wouldn’t bother reading anything by the author again…

Characters were dull. Not the author's fault, but I found the main character's "I don't get what's happening with the youth these days" attitude to be annoying to read about. The mystery was drip-fed and then answered all at once. I didn't find any of it unexpected and found the twists to be more like roadblocks delaying me from getting to the end of the story.
Lewis was so unbearable from the beginning that I couldn't understand why anyone ever thought he was good?

The book was tense throughout and kept me intrigued. each chapter seem to introduce a new possible ending, only put the true ending to circle back to original suspicions but with more depth. Though this book was tense, it was more narration and dialogue driven than it was action driven.
