For some reason I dove into the third book instead of the first one?? Eh, just go with it.. like I did.
Fiance by Friday was a pretty interesting book. At least, for me it was because I started off reading the ebook but then I realized it was an audio as well.. and dropped that ebook like a hot potato and started to listen to it. Besides all of that, I feel like I should probably dive into the first two books before the end of the month.. maybe?
Okay, so in this book you will meet Gwen and Neil. However, there are other couples in this as well.. which I can only assume they are from previous books? If not.. then I'm screwed. Back to this couple, well somethings a bit off in their lives. No, not the romance - which was hot as fuck if you ask me. No, it's the random ass dead birds. When the first one showed up.. I was like.. okay I get that birds have some suicide tendencies but this is a bit ridiculous. Then when there was a hint that someone from Neil's past was behind these dead birds.. well, let's just say I was hooked guys.
I LOVE MYSTERIES! I put my little detective hat on and wanted to solve this before they did. Unfortunately for me, I will keep my day job because I suck ass at this crime solving jig. I had no idea it was two people from his past that went bonkers. I felt so bad for Neil realizing all of this betrayal but I was proud of Gwen. She was totally underestimated in the end. I loved her and how she didn't just cry and whine until she was saved - like some kind of princess.
Other that, I'm kind of hooked on this series. I am excited to dive into the first two books AND then diving into the fourth book.

Book three in Weekday Brides Fiancé by Friday by Catherine Bybee audiobook version.
Gwen is Blake's sister and has always had a thing for Neil Blake's head of security.
Neil is ex army and left army because of a badly failed mission were he lost a lot of his men to injury or death.
Everything is working out for him at the moment he's trying to avoid Gwen and protect his friends it's only when Gwen has suspicious thing happen to her that he decides to personally protect her.
I really enjoyed this book more then I though the narrator posh British accent was at time funny but because it was written so well it was funny and entertaining.
With this series you need to have started from beginning because otherwise I think you miss not just really good books by this author but the relationship between the different characters in previous books.
Looking forward to more in series but next one is about Karen and Michael which I'm not sure I'll enjoy as much because I think in this day and age an actor can survive coming out whether there male or female, if the want to keep working hard to achieve their goals of superstardom.
Otherwise are great ending and HEA. Absolutely loved Gwen at the end of this book. Such a good finish to a great book.

Bored to frigging tears. Neil is a douche and has stalker-ish tendencies. Gwen is too demure and nice. Plot was ok. Villain's POV is not my cuppa. Tapping out and moving on.

Une romance sympa à lire de type Bodyguard que j'avais hâte de lire comme ce sont deux personnages qui apparaissent dans pas mal de livres de cette série =)
L'intrigue était intéressante (avec tout le passé militaire de Neil, les menaces etc) et j'ai bien aimé les personnages mais ce n'est pas une romance inoubliable.
Ce livre comme toute la série ainsi que son spin-off First Wives sont agréables à lire mais sans plus et c'est un peu toujours la même histoire : l'héroïne rencontre le héros, ils tombent amoureux, il y a un danger / ex / secret qui va s'interposer entre eux, ils vont être séparés, grosses révélations, ils se remettent ensemble / se marient / ont un enfant =)
Alors c'est bien écrit et si vous voulez un truc léger à lire pour se distraire, c'est parfait mais pas plus ...

The plot was interesting (with Neil's military past, threats etc) and I liked the characters but it is not an unforgettable romance.
This book like all the series as well as its spin-off "First Wives" are pleasant to read but nothing more and it's almost always the same story : the heroine meets the hero, they fall in love, there is a danger / ex / secret that will come between them, they will be separated, big revelations, they get back together / get married / have a child =)
So it's well written and if you want something light to read to distract yourself, it's perfect but no more ...

I love a good book, I love a great series even more!!! Gwen and Neil finally take a chance. A mysterious person is leaving dead birds around. At first they think it’s an accident, then maybe someone messing with Karen, then Neil finds out and knows it’s a message for him. He takes Gwen and goes into hiding. He doesn’t know who he’s dealing with and who he can trust. He just know he’s has to keep Gwen safe. As the story unfolds your love for Neil and Gwen will grow, you’ll hold your breath in suspense, clench your teeth in frustration and anger.

TWB #3 jelas jauh lebih menegangkan dari seri sebelumnya yang berujung agak antiklimaks, tapi tetap kusukai <3 Ketakutan Neil, mempengaruhi pembaca. Tidak lagi menyembunyikan segala teror.
Karakter Gwen mulanya agak kurang kusuka. Kukira dia tipikal putri manja yang terus caper ke crush dengan berbagai cara. Tapi ternyata Gwen tahu batasan. Dia tahu kapan harus melakukan dan tidak melakukannya. Aku suka wanita yang memegang kendali. Sebaliknya Neil yang uratnya sering menonjol karena ketegangan yang seolah tak pernah usai itu, tampak rapuh karena masa lalu.
Bisa dibilang genre paling komplit ada di seri ini. Semuanya ada. Bukan sekedar gimmick. Roman-suspense-action. Sampai akhir masih dibuat tegang.
