Did not enjoy this one. Thought the female lead was way too stereotypical of an American view of a British person. Did find much to be attracted about with the male lead. Also, probably didn't help that this was the first book I read in the series. No mas for me though.

Finally! A decent story in this series! This one actually had a unique premise and the marriage of convenience didn't happen until late in the story. Throughout this series, we get peeks into what is happening with the other couples from previous books, which is nice, but this is the story that broke the mold from the series. My one complaint is that I would have liked it to be a bit more fleshed out and longer, but that didn't detract too much from the story.

Romance, suspense, and a great whodoneit

Wow! I never thought this book would take the turns it did. Held my interest from beginning to end in one sitting. On to the next in the series!

The writing was good but it was more of a murder-mystery than a romance.

5 stars!

This one was definitely my favorite of the series so far. I feel like it gets better and better by each book. I'm a lover of mystery and romance, so the fact that this was both has me very pleased!!!!! Can't wait to start the next!!!

ARC received via NetGalley for honest review.

Before you read Fiance by Friday, you should read Wife By Wednesday and Married by Monday so you get the dynamics of the group and background of our main protaganists, Gwen and Neil.

Gwen - Lady Gwendolyn Harrison, is the sister of the Duke of Albany. She has had not so much a sheltered life, but more a restricted life due to being at her family home in the UK. Everyone thinks she is the prissy, helpless English Lady, and she is sick of it. She is a smart, sassy, resourceful woman

Now she is living in the states, working for his sister in law, and generally trying to get out there and live her life. But the man she wants in her life is keeping his distance.

Neil MacBain is ex military, and Gwen's brother's bodyguard. He is an enigma wrapped up in a riddle. He's not one to say much, but he has his eyes on Gwen.

This is a suspenseful, romantic story with some twists and turns that will keep you on your toes.

Neil's past comes back to haunt him, and draws him back into that world, along with those he cares about.

Can this be the catalyst they need to move their relationship along?

For that, you are going to have to read for yourself.

I love the banter between Neil and Gwen. They have been dancing around each other for a while and the sexual tension between the two - hooeeey it just burns up the pages!

Catherine Bybee has sucked me into this series from book one, and I have enjoyed every one of the books so far.

The whole cast of characters adds to this series, their lives intertwine so much it would be a shame if there was a weak link, which there isn't.

I cannot wait to read #4, Single by Saturday. But the wait till 2014 is gonna be a killer.

I thought this was just okay. For a romance, it wasn't all that romantic. First, the concept of temporary marriages is the opposite of romantic, and I'm not sure how I feel about that being in a romance at all. The "falling in love with a bodyguard" concept has huge potential, except that she was already mostly in love with him (it seemed) but didn't act on it. Most of the book wasn't about romance at all, which would be fine, except that with a bride on the cover I had expectations.

I thought the action/suspense bits were a little bit unbelievable. It was a stretch to think that this kind of thing would actually happen in the way that it did. Additionally, Neil and Gwen's relationship wasn't all that special. He married her under false pretenses (which she never called him on) and only even decided to pursue her AFTER her life had been threatened and he really should have been on even higher alert.

The idea was decent, but it wasn't really executed as well as it could have been. Not terrible, but not great, either.

Loved it. Finished with a giant smile on my face. Couldn't have asked for more. Well... I could have, but that would have been greedy!;) Bring on the next book!!

I didn't want to say goodbye to Gwen and Neil. Their love story was captivating and I didn't want it to end.
