Violent, sexy and thrilling. The rich, poetic descriptions really immerse you into the scenes, as Nathan becomes far more entangled in his own investigation than he ever imagined. For me it could have been a bit faster paced to start, but that was really my main criticism. The writing style was gripping and I would certainly listen to more from this author, I could see Nathan Waymaker being a recurring character in future.
The narrator was amazing, his deep gravelly voice really lends itself to this moody storyline.
Graphic: Gun violence and Violence
Moderate: Sexual content

Cosby has this way of writing stories that makes you feel like you can visualize each scene as if you are watching a movie which makes his books even more entertaining. This book is dark and violent, but he is able to make characters that you want to root for such as Nathan even though they don't make the best decisions at times. I liked the relationship between Nathan and his friend Skunk (love the name) and the bits of humor we are able to get between them. At a certain point, I did think the plot was a bit predictable and sometimes I felt Nathan came across as unbelievable with getting out of almost every situation he was in, but overall this great. If you want a fast paced, action packed, mystery then I would highly recommend.
