I don't usually read poetry, but the poems of Neil that bring to us the deepest emotions of mental health struggles cannot leave you unmoved.

The poems were raw and devastatingly beautiful. This is a very intense collection of poems where almost each poem hits differently.

Last month I was just feeling poetry. Like I wanted to write poetry (even though I can't write shit); I wanted to read poetry; and I wanted to watch spoken poetry. And I ended up reading 3 poetry collections. I loved two of them. This is one of the two that I loved.

I picked up this book knowing that I'll love it because I've seen Neil Hilborn perform OCD. I'm super glad it did not disappoint.

I feel like poets are the real magicians. It's like they take words; words that we know and arrange them in a beautiful way that it hits you and makes you feel connected. There is no word besides magical to describe this.

It made me feel lonely. And for that; Thank You!

My absolute favorite piece from this collection: Here and Away.

"My house only felt like home underwater; it floods. My father is an astronaut because to me stars or the distant flashing satellites seemed closer than wherever he was."

Dulu pertama tau Neil Hilborn waktu dia baca OCD. Karena penasaran dengan puisinya yang lain, akhirnya masukin ini ke wishlist. Sayangnya, saya agak kecewa karena tak ada yang sebagus OCD. Its just so-so.

I don’t know what to say. I’m not really a poetry person. This short little book impacted me. I’m sure plenty of people who get poetry more than me would rank it a 5 star. This is a heavy read for such a quick book. It played with my emotions in a very real way.

Rating poetry is as hard as rating memoirs for me as they're both very personal. Some pieces worked better for me than others.

Neil Hilborn was the man responsible for me becoming obsessed with spoken word poetry, reading, watching and writing it myself.

His poetry is just so raw and unique and I love it, some of it made me laugh, others made me tear up, others made me really think and of course, I got to see OCD in written form. Amazing :)
