Ford might just be my favorite King. The dude is a goalie and plays Scrabble. And he's good at it! As for heroines, Kara is still my girl. Something to do with her being a writer. Ha.
I will say though that Liv's struggle with pursuing medicine because of her parents' legacy and Colm's insistent push was so damn relatable, it hurt. The things she said and thought hit close to home.

the premise and the beginning of these books are always so much better than the execution. like i was so excited and it wasn’t bad or anything i just didn’t love it even though i wanted to.
as i read: i’m already relating to ford’s anxiety a little too hard. i feel so bad for colm with ford sleeping with felicity like even though he didn’t know that’s still so sad. all of these are stupid miscommunication!!! i hope liv and ford figure it out a little earlier. i want the scene of them that everyone saw in the last book. i like them but like i want something to happen already. okay their phone sex was really good and it was nice because i didn’t want them to have sex yet but it happy something finally happened. of course the second after they get together they find reasons to split apart. i like that they already want to talk to colm about it like ford’s not putting it off. i love how quickly grant got over it and told them he was cool with it. i like how quickly they just want to be together like after the fire they’re both thinking about forever which i like. i can already tell that colm freaking out is gonna drive them apart. i like that he couldn’t walk away from him. im excited for colm’s book and him and imogen.

The only reason I was able to get through this book was because of the Fulton U characters. I was just bored a lot of the time and most of the conflicts were resolved SO quickly with little to no repercussions for the main characters. Overall, it wasn’t terrible but it was great either. I’ve definitely seen some of these storylines in other Maya Hughes books so that also definitely took the enjoyment out of reading the book a little. I loved a lot of the background characters and while I didn’t really connect with either of the main characters, I didn’t mind Liv. She was actually kind of interesting.

I recieved this arc in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much Maya Hughes for this opportunity!
If you are looking for a brother’s best friend romance with a little angst, this one is for you! This story was everything great when it comes to romance. It was swoon-worthy, it had a hockey player and undeniable chemistry between two great characters! This was my first read out of this series but I’m so excited to go back and read the other books out of this series. Maya Hughes knows how to introduce and present a lovely romance. Liv, was Ford’s Best Friend’s little sister and had always had a crush of Ford ( I mean, who wouldn’t?) Liv was so cute, I absolutely loved her character and she was perfect for Ford. Ford, was the hot, hockey player, who seemed like only a dream to Liv. Liv and Ford’s story was amazing and I’m excited to read more of this series!

Honestly this book wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either in my opinion. The style of writing was, so boring and wordy. But also the story itself didn’t make me excited at all. The romance wasn’t interesting. Everything was just all over the place. I can’t say that it was bad, because maybe it wasn’t for me, but I just didn’t like it at all, because of these things.

Fearless King has everything I love about the brothers-best-friend trope. It had angst, and drama, and the swoony sweetness of two characters knowing that they shouldn't be together but unable to stop the pull of their chemistry. It was addictive reading and unputdownable. Once I started this book, I could not stop reading. Ford and Liv were absolutely perfect together and I couldn't get enough of them. I loved them!
Overall, this was a gorgeous romance story that will have you swooning and fill you with so many happy feels. The Kings of Rittenhouse is one hell of a series that is unmissable. Maya Hughes has written such a fantastic novel. I am looking forward to reading her final installment in this series!
