What a long and bumpy road these two had to walk through before finally getting together...
Ford and Liv’s relationship was something I’ve been waiting for since I started this series. I loved their relationship and how much they cared about each other, even when they couldn’t be together because of the many - oh many - circumstances.
It was kind of painful to see how much they were willing to give up for their families and what they lost to get to finally be together but I ended up loving this book.
I don’t know how Maya does it but I’m addicted and now - after I’ve finished this series, of course - I’ll have to go back to Fulton U because I’m really curious about the little things I’ve learned in this book. (I’ve been dying to see LJ and Marisa together ever since I read The Perfect First, ugh).

Really liked the brother’s best friend thing. Loved the characters and the plot. Excellent writing. This definitely my favorite couple of all time. I’m so addicted to this book!
This was an okay book. I’m a sucker for hockey romances but for me, this was lacking a little something. I think that was a bit more sport. It didn’t feel like a sports romance. It also felt, possibly because of the connection of all the characters, like a college romance.
Yes, Olivia is in college, but she’s 20/21, almost finished, and Ford is 26/27. I expected it to read a little older.
I liked the angst here, but would’ve liked more ways of avoidance. I also would’ve liked the phone calls to be a little more fleshed out.
I do quite like this series, and think I have finally figured out who is whom, but as I said, it feels like there’s something missing here, sorry.

This was a tightrope we were walking, but the longer I was with him, the more convinced myself it wasn't one-sided
The Fearless King is a breathtaking, emotional, and angsty romance, truly one worth waiting for. Maya Hughes has done it splendidly in creating such captivating story about first love, heartbreak, and second chances.

The time that Olivia and Ford spent apart after the first eventful kiss they shared was filled with misunderstandings, longing, and what ifs. Withstanding expectations, pressure, and repercussions of past mistakes weighted down on their budding relationship. But when fate takes its course and shared attraction sparks again, they both had to choose between what they should and need to do.
The fourth installment in the Kings of Rittenhouse series features around Olivia and Ford. This is a brother's best friend romance with angsty and bittersweet moments that had me silently crying in the corner.
Ford and Liv shared a kiss one evening at a wedding, it was as passionate as their attraction for each other that was kept on lid for so long. But a moment of misunderstanding and poorly made decisions led to one and a half-year avoiding each other. Ford and Liv together is a force of nature, however, there's always going to be a bump in the road; wrong timing; siblings getting in the way from professing their true feelings; and misperception. From secret glances, drunken nights, and innocent texts led to the most amazing time they had in years. There's no denying that Ford and Liv are meant to be...
I don't know what drew me into this story with such an intense force. I started around 2 AM and finished almost 5 hours later. I was completely hooked and in awe. Maya Hughes has a way with words that tugged at your heartstring. It didn't escape my notice that a few cameos from her previous work [b:The Perfect First|43802284|The Perfect First (Fulton U, #1)|Maya Hughes|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1554361566s/43802284.jpg|67853615] made their appearance. I was giddy to see the interplay of all these characters, how they're coming together. It's definitely something I didn't see coming. I can't wait for the final installment and see how Colm's story will turn out... tbh, he's not my favorite hero at the moment, but I really want to see his character development!

3.5 stars
I think Ford and Liv's book is my favorite from this series, but I hated how every time they were together something came up to separate them.
I loved that LJ and Marisa were a part of the story. Can't wait to read their book!!!!!

This one turned out to be a bit of a disappointment, especially after all the build-up. 2.5 stars.
Usually brother's best friend/best friend's sister/best friend's brother (any variation of this setup, pretty much xD) is one of my favourite tropes but this story didn't really move me.
First of all, it felt like the author overdid it on the angst front. I'm all for star-crossed, together-against-all-odds lovers but the dynamic between Ford, Liv, Colm and Grant was just too much.
(some spoilers ahead)
Ford unknowingly sleeping with Colm's fiance and then keeping quiet about it? Grant (Ford's younger brother) always having a crush on Liv and struggling with living in Ford's shadow since childhood? Colm being an overprotective controlling ass to Liv and alternatively smothering her with either excessive unrealistic expectations and support (but only when it fit him)?
It's just TOO. MUCH.
As readers, we were basically told throughout the series that Ford and Colm were inseparable and the bestest of friends but only got a few real glimpses of it. So seeing how obviously Colm still hasn't forgiven Ford and how he lords that past mistake over him any chance he gets is at first painful and then just annoying. And then we have Liv in the middle, together with bunch of sibling drama. Add Ford's baby brother Grant, in package with another bunch of brotherly resentment and it's all one huge mess that kind of takes away from the romance, if I'm being honest.
Seriously, instead of rooting for Ford and Liv to make it, I was more interested in Liv's roommate Marisa and her football player friend LJ going for it and making it as a couple.
(P.S. Is there by any chance a book about them???)
As for the dysfunctional quartet, I was rather rooting for them to go their separate ways and stop the vicious circle of toxicity and resentment. That...didn't happen exactly but I guess that's material for Colm's book. I guessed who his LI would be back in Heath's book (logic and power of elimination, bless you xD) and I was excited but I'm just a little bit anxious to see how it's written.
