El principio se me hizo bola con tanto nombre y el final un poco meh, pero el universo está interesante

Jemisin's first trilogy didn't appeal to me, but I read several positive reviews of the duology that begins with this novel, and liked the sound of the society inspired by ancient Egypt. I really enjoyed this - a richly imagined society and tense and absorbing story.

I really enjoyed this book, the world building/culture building was the strongest aspect for me. I liked it, I thought the second was better, this read more as a prequel to set up the world and the history for the second one. That being said it had a great (if predictable) story with good complex characters
