I'm glad her Mom died too.

Such a heartbreaking and uncomfortable read. I loved Jenette McCurdy on ICarly and Sam & Cat growing up and it's heart wrenching to read of all the horrible things she went through before, during and after those episodes aired. She speaks about her eating disorder (how her mum essentially taught calorie restriction to her) , her mother's abuse towards her, her friendship with Miranda Cosgrove and Ariana Grande and the corrupt and dark side to Nickelodeon. I really hope she finds peace and justice for everything she experienced and she continues writing because it is

very worthy of a one sitting read. could NOT put it down

This is a very good book about how a parental voice indoctrinates a child while growing up. Especially if that parent is narcissistic. After reading this book all you hope is that the author finds piece and will be able to heal herself. And by the way it is written, you are really rooting for her.

Wow, literally devoured this book in one sitting. The hype is real. Incredibly poignant and heartbreaking, I want to be friends with Jennette McCurdy after this one.

I don’t think it would be fair to rate this book, given that it’s someone story/truth. I found it very honest, raw, and insightful. I am impressed and humbled by Jennette’s vulnerability. I would definitely recommend this book but it may not be for everyone. The whole book deals with/talks about eating disorders in detail.
