I picked this up from the "horror" section of our local library, and I will be honest it wasn't what I expected. What i got however is a gorgeously spooky mystery, with characters I absolutely invested in, and beautiful imagery. Really reccomended as a cosy, spooky-season read

Very well written - I enjoyed the author’s voice and style. I would say nothing really surprised me in the book and many events really were the biggest coincidences if you look too closely.
Overall fun, enjoyable read

I really loved the mystery behind the Harrington family and Rita definitely made it more intriguing, along with Hera. They were both very interesting characters with a lot of development and depth. Sylvie's storyline was fine but a bit boring at the start compared to Rita's so I liked how they both aligned towards the end.
