3.5 - my least favourite of the umbrella academy collections. i think there’s too much action for my tastes, and there are so many sloppily introduced/developed characters.

I didn't like this one at all. I didn't know what was happening anymore. It was gibberish to me. So I'm not best reviewer of it; maybe someone who understood what was going on liked it. But too all over the place for my tiny brain

If this had been released as monthly installments like a regular comic, I'm afraid I wouldn't have made it to the end. Which would have been sad, since the second half is better than the first.

For the first few chapters, I had a hard time figuring out what was going on. I didn't care about the characters. The story seemed more focused on being weird than on being good.

At least the storyline improved, but the characters didn't. Most members of the Academy were flat throughout. The only one who showed any depth was Allison, though that depth never led to any sort of resolution.

I'm interested to see where the cliffhanger leads, but it's not keeping me awake at night.

He took forever to write it so I took forever to read it lol

But yeah, as good as expected with a super fun cast of side characters
