I will say Ana drove me absolutely insane the whole book.

Malcolm had built an private amusement park for the rich on Jagged Island. He had hired his own crew for the park but he had sent out an invitation to 6 teenagers who are all social media influencers and he was wanting them to come to the island for a weekend and check out the amusement park before it opened to the public. The invitation was very creepy and Paisley, Harper, Ana, James, Will, and Liam all got to take this opportunity and thought it was going to blast. Each one of these teenagers has millions of followers and can get the news out quick but one problem they run into is that Malcolm and Camellia are keeping a secret from everyone and it all starts when Will goes missing. Throughout the book you really get to know who the characters are and who will fight for their survival. With that being said, Paisley on the other hand blogs about crime all the time and once she figures that Will has gone missing and has possibly been murdered on the island, she begins to wonder if this trip is going to be worth it or not. When the teenagers arrive at the resort, they aren't very impressed when the lobby has a locked glass cabinet full of weapons.

On the tour, they get assigned rooms and have 30 minutes to get unpacked and be downstairs so they can have the rest of the day to ride rides and explore the park. They have all had fun the first day and by the time it's dinner time Malcolm has asked around and gave permission for them to explore by themselves. One rule in mind is they are not allowed to be on amusement park premises after dark. Will gets the idea that sneaking out to see the park at night would be a good idea and would be a fabulous video to show their followers. Well Paisley ends up being the only one commiting to this idea but what happens when she gets stood up and never shows up to go tour the park during after hours with Paisley........

The resort is huge and massive just like the amusement park but what the teenagers are slowly realizing is that something is out of place. Malcolm is never outside touring and enjoying the park with others. Always is inside and only shows up when is time to eat. Camellia is very awkward as well and Paisley is starting to wonder why Malcolm's name is no where on the emergency card but her name is. Malcolm is very creepy and gave the teenagers a weird vibe from the very beginning. But as the story continues one by one slowly but surely the teenagers are getting killed somehow and Paisley sees someone on the premises once everyone is sleeping. As she sneaks out she watches Malcolm and his assistant very closely and finds out Camellia is scared of one person who would be her son Robert.

The ending I was totally not expecting at all and I probably won't reread this but the suspense in this was real. I am not gonna lie I had to give this book a second chance and I'm glad I did. It's not bad but if you don't handle ghosts, serial killers, or anything like this... You may not want to give this a try.

Last, while the teenagers are exploring the island they are suppose to have fun but they end up finding Will's body murdered and slowly one by one keeps getting killed and they have to work together to find the killer. Ana wasn't very helpful and always had something negative to say about things but as there is no internet connection or Wifi connection, they have to find out and do what they have to do to survive the island alive. The boat is missing and everyone's phone is now dead.

Wasn't for me. The social media influencer trope was too much for me

This book gripped me and I didn’t want to put it down. It started slow, but give it through at least chapter 9.

Writing and twists 3.5 stars, ending or LACK OF 1 star. Giving 2 stars is really a stretch with this book.
