3.75
I'm giving this a 3.75 because there are still a few too many holes left open for my liking that I just couldn't give it a full four.
I'm actually suprised that I did enjoy this book better than all the others, though.
One of my main issues with the other books was monotony and how boring large chunks could be. While there were some scenes in Catacomb that were boring to have to read through, they ultimately served a purpose this time.
One thing that did stay the same for me was my indifference for the trio and how none of them really developed as people. I can't go into too much depth without spoilers, but let's just say certain twists should have been obvious to both the reader (it was to me) and the characters at this point.
