This was my first Fredrik Backman and I can see why a lot of people like his stories. I will say though, that his particular writing style took me some time to get used to. Not sure if that is due to the translation, but I still liked it. Excited to see the screen adaptation.

I’M BORED! 🥱 I don’t give a fuck about this rude and grumpy old Swede. I figure if I was meant to like this I would like it by now so I’m giving up. The writing style is also not my thing and I keep accidentally reading Ove as Over and it’s distracting (that is a me thing but still!). I don’t even want to watch the movie since Tom Hanks plays Otto and I hate Tom hanks!! Also all the chapter titles being named a variation of “a man called ove” is getting tiring and I only reached the 10th chapter or something. Lame middle-aged adult novel for people who only read like 3 books a year or on vacation.
