I love shits like this that makes me cry uncontrollably. I cried because of the beautiful story, very well written and Ove is just like my grandfather. People like Ove are difficult to be honest, but they are with principles and deep down full of love and softhearted to the people they love.

Easily one of my favourite reads this year 🥺
Unlikely friendships turned to found family, this book holds very dear to my heart. A Man Called Ove had multiple great themes throughout that can be resonated with so many readers. A story about grief, life afterwards, community, and acceptance of change. It was hard not to root for Ove’s happiness, especially once learning the hardships he endured growing up. So, I was extremely satisfied with the ending and epilogue.
The writing in this was so simple, yet so effective at not only capturing specific emotions but also evoking said emotions to readers. I’ve highlighted so many passages in this with quotations I won’t soon forget. Least to say, I cried here and there. I feel like I grew to appreciate short sentences and chapters a lot more with this book because of how well it was delivered. Overall, a very pleasant and heartwarming read this year 💌
