80% smut. At least. Hopefully that's your thing. Also, big F U to capitalism, which I love.

When the monster-filled company of Claws merges with the witch-filled company of Warts, Inferna the Succubus, Art the Witch, and Calen the Omega witch find themselves not only in the middle of a corporate nightmare but also a sinfully sexy threesome.

I wish this was just a little bit longer. I liked a lot of the elements going on in the story, but they all needed a little more time to develop. The three main characters all had a lot of potential but I never felt like I got to know them outside of the relationship. Inferna is dominant, Calen is submissive and Art is a grumpy switch. There are a few outside details sprinkled in but they never felt organic.  We've got fated mates which isn't my favorite, but that's pretty clearly telegraphed from the get-go so that's more a me-problem than anything else.

Similarly, the plot busted through was too fast. Everything happens within a week and we're talking about some major details.
The merger of two businesses happens overnight. There are immediately hostile and suspicious characters that step in. Calen is kidnapped for being an Omega which he just found out about! Challenges are solved almost as soon as they are introduced and the ending is waved off with the deus ex machina murder of two baddies.
. If the story had had a bit more time to breathe I think I would have enjoyed it more.

On the plus side, the smut was top-tier with all sorts of kinky monster stuff going on. If you're new to the monster smut genre this might be overwhelming but it's excellent for the old pros. I liked this enough as a popcorn kind of read that I'll probably check out another entry in the series.

4⭐️ 4🌶️
MOOD: lighthearted, funny, mysterious
TROPES: work place romance, mates, menage, enemies to lovers-lite
FAV QUOTE: NSFW so nothing to see here.

Clio Evans is an instant-read author for me.
THE GOOD: I missed the world of the Creature Cafe so was happy to pick up the Warts & Claws book one. The work-place environment creates the opportunity for some banter & drama. Inferno, Art, & Calen work well together.
THE NEUTRAL: This is going to sound silly but the door was removed from the bosses' office. Towards the end, there's a door and I don't remember one being put back besides Magic being used to block it.
THE MEH: Subplot needed a little bit more but that could just be because it reminded me too much of the conflict of the Creature Cafe series.
