An excellent tale of the Amazons and Themyscira. I enjoy Wonder Woman comics and Nubia is a great heroine.

Disappointing. Vita Ayala and Stephanie Williams are working with too big a cast, and the book's three artists don't do enough to distinguish them all visually. It has to step back constantly to tell us what things are and why they're important (What is the Contest? What is Doom's Doorway?), constantly breaking the flow of the book, and the action sequences have no sense of movement or kineticism. I like Nubia and making her Queen was a smart idea but this book does not really work as it is.

I love Nubia, but I felt like this was all over the place.

I love this series! The story is well-written and interesting, and the art is awesome. It changes Nubia’s origin story and she finally gets to step out of Diana’s shadow. We also get to learn more about Themyscira and the Amazons, and I like how the story addresses justice alongside a mythological figure who is solely seen as a villain when she is also a victim.

I’m glad I picked this up, it was well done and now I have a new favourite character in Nubia!

Read as single issues.
