It was a very interesting book. It os sad to know that a family can do that to one of its members and not feel the remorse. I am sorry she went through all of that but can also relate.

The book itself is not well written, however, I do feel like listening to it on audio helps the book read better. With Michelle Williams, the conversational style of the book comes through more clearly. With that said, this was still a powerful book, because it’s what Britney chose to use to tell her story. It’s worth the read for anyone who was or is a fan of Spears, it reminds us there is a human behind the celebrity.

not sure I'm going to rate this one. there are a lot of memoirs out there that are more technically proficient, but that doesn't mean there isn't value in Britney's story in her own words. (yes, she had a ghostwriter, but something I actually quite appreciate here is that they kept her voice authentic and seemed to be there to lend structure and clarity.) there were moments I groaned and there were moments I genuinely gasped in shock. regardless of the writing I'm glad this is out in the world. mine or anyone else's approval isn't the point here. she just deserves to be heard.

    For the first time, Brittany Spears tells the true story of her family and how they forced an unneeded conservatorship on her to gain access to her hundreds of millions.
     I feel like the book should have been longer. More backstories would have been nice in her younger years. My guess is the publishers wanted it out quickly. It's a heartbreaking story and I'm glad it's told I just wish it had been more in-depth.
     Overall, a good look into mental health and how the legal system can be abused.

I just read this cover to cover in one night. I got home at 630pm and started this and now it is 3am and I am writing this review. but how do you review the life of anyone, let alone someone you love as much as I love Britney? You don't, not really. i just say that I adore her and I just want her to be the happiest she can possibly be.

5 stars for Britney and all that she has meant to me since I was 5 years old and wearing out her CD with my best friend every summer day.

****There is speculation whether she had anything to do with this book, speculation as to whether she is even alive and I have chosen not to engage in that, specifically the latter, because it hurts too much to even fathom. So please do not come into my dms or comments with anything like that. ****
