I’m so glad Britney shared her story with us. As a long time fan, this gives me a whole new perspective on her life and her music that I appreciate even more. Always wishing her the best in her healing journey. ♥️

First off, I am a Britney fan. I had all of her CDs growing up and I can still sing every word to more songs than I want to admit. That being said, the writing in this book is quite poor. It reads very disjointed with little flow. It's a shame that no ghost writers or editors helped write her story. It also feels a bit muted, like details are held back and the things that are discussed lack feeling. I understand the difficulty in putting trauma into writing; but this should have been done so much better. Chapters are short and it's a quick easy read, but lacks insight and emotion. I love memoirs and generally rate them quite high (because how can you rate some ones life low?) but unfortunately I have to rate this book lower. I'm not sad I read it, but I would not recommend it nor read it again.

She is very brave for surviving this and telling the world about it.

The book was actually a quick when I sat down to read it. But it hard for me to do it because it was literally no challenge to my brain. It was written on an elementary level. I did expect to be more scatter-brained than it was, so that was a nice surprise. I liked that I got to see Britney as a quirky silly woman instead of a crazy druggy alcoholic that everyone made her out to be in the 2000's. She just likes to have fun and be herself. I do wish we got to read more about her career instead of JUST the drama. Where were the pictures?!?!?!
Graphic: Confinement and Emotional abuse
Minor: Abortion
