There were two spots in the book where I wasn’t quite sure but im so glad I went ahead because it was a really good murder mystery combined with self discovery, self acceptance, along with a few twists. 4.25 because it felt a bit rushed at the end, despite there being more to unpack.

idk if it's really a 5 star thriller or if I'm just emotional because I'm 4 days sober from those fun life ruining opiates but either way, I can't think of any way to improve this one so I suppose it's a 5 star 🤷🏼‍♀️. plus it's beautifully written and the characters are so real you can taste them.

Somewhat convoluted, but still very good! It definitely had you guessing. Perfect who-dunnit.

This book was a great start to 2024. Both mystical and mysterious, this novel does a great job of bringing you into this the convoluted mess that has occurred.  While you can semi-predict elements of the novel, it does not take away from the feeling of the eventual reveal. Naomi is the perfect protagonist, in that she is anything but perfect. The unreliable memories, character perspective, and storytelling leads to the culmination of a story that you both see coming and yet didn’t. Without spoilers, this story was a great read.
