3.5 stars !! I have not finished a book for fun in ages because ... grad school but Karen McManus' latest has everything I needed to get out of a reading rut: fast pace, a heavy dose of '80s teen movie references, and a plot that is somewhat unplausible and YET (!) still compels you to go along for the ride. Great fun.

I love all of McManus’s work because I love young adult thrillers/crime. I loved this one!  Had good pace and good tension. The twist at the end was great too. Hoping there’s a sequel. It was your stereotypical YA book, but it was an enjoyable read, especially if you’re into this genre.
