An interesting enough story but one that sadly just didn't grip me enough. After not liking "The Cousins" too, I'm thinking this will be it for me and McManus.

couldn't help but finish this in one sitting... not even once has karen m. mcmanus disappointed me with her novels. my favourite YA books to read (and there aren't many). i wasn't even able to predict any of the plot twists except the most minor one, damn do i feel dumb now. in a good way. of course.

One of the author's best works to date! The main three characters are all so lovable and I found myself actually caring about their relationships. Furthermore, the mystery had me enthralled - I couldn't wait to uncover everybody's secrets. For me, the pacing was near perfect, though I would have liked more development for some of the characters to make the ending more believable.
