I absolutely adore L. M. Montgomery! Every book of hers has been an absolute joy to read, and this book is no different. The vivid, melodic descriptions are as wonderful as in other works.

I admit, I was not perhaps in the right headspace to read such a light-hearted and fun book. I think I was more on the mood for something dark and gritty, so I don't think I truly immersed myself in Avonlea as I would normally. Nonetheless, I still really liked this book and reading Anne grow up and have many adventures! A great follow up to Green Gables.
