I really honestly don’t know what I just read. I like the going for pov to screen play. It was really cool and made the read fast but I am honestly left like “what the heck”

I could not finish this book. I got a little over halfway through and abandoned it due to the noises in the audiobook. The parts of the screenplay were too much for me to handle. The characters reading it repeatedly stopped and repeated lines (I had to check to make sure my phone didn't have an issue), coughed, sniffed, turned the pages loudly, stuttered, and that is not what I'm looking for in an audiobook. I listen to them to relax, not to have my misophonia set off.
I played a clip to my partner and he laughed and said he couldn't believe they made the choice to present the audiobook this way. I might read the e-book vversion, but I'm so turned off by it that I doubt I'll bother at this point.

Kind of a dry read and the ending was lackluster for what the you think the build up will be. Would not recommend
This was such a creatively cinematic reading experience and I loved it. The very beginning takes a second to be clear of what is exactly going on, but as the story unfolds and the Horror Movie is being made, everything makes sense in its nonsensical nature.
Told in a sort of multi-media format, we jump between two (three?) main timelines and we also get to experience some of the events of the story through the sides (script) during the making of the movie in the story. This adds to the eerie ambiance of the entire book and makes it all that much more intriguing.
The audiobook utilizes a full cast for the moments where the script is being read for the movie. Sound effects enhance the experience even further. This could be annoying for people looking for a simple/straightforward audio narration, but the dramatization adds to it all in my opinion.
Thank you to Libro.fm and William Morrow/HarperAudio for the gifted access to this audiobook.

The ending really came out of left field. The book wasn’t very scary. I also felt the plot was super slow. Overall, it just wasn’t for me
