I started skimming at 20% and when that didn’t even hold my interest, I knew it was time to move on. 

I didn’t love the writing style and the MC seemed a little too clueless and immature for me to relate to.

Notes during reading - 

*poor communication between characters really detracts from my reading 

*writing ‘tells’ rather than ‘shows’ 

Ultimately, I was never able to connect with characters, story, or writing. This was a miss for me.

I wanted to like this far more than I did. It needed an edit - repetitive and predictable. But a good effort and I did keep reading.
