This book ended the story arc well, so giving this entry an extra star for the whole being greater than the sum of its parts

This series should have been one book and at least 200 pages shorter at that. I liked this conclusion to the series even though it dragged at some places (like Sign of the Unicorn or Guns of Avalon). The characters, other than Corwin, were mostly flat with almost zero character development over the five books. But the worldbuilding was amazing with such a wonderful concept at its core.

Fin épique pour le premier cycle, j'espère que le second cycle sera aussi bon. Cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas autant dévoré de livres !

A good end to the cycle, but 20 - 30% of this book was boring.

I feel like as the end of the first arc in the series this was pretty satisfactory of a resolution. It was open ended enough to give you things to think about but still answered the main plot questions. It was an interesting journey following Corwin and kind of wanting him to succeed despite his many flaws. I feel like after binging all five in a row though I need to take a break from this world before embarking on the next cycle.

Finished "The Courts of Chaos" by Roger Zelazny. While this is essentially the denouement of Corwin's story, it is an interesting and fitting end that wraps things up nicely at the edge of chaos.
