lighthearted
I did like this story. I thought it was really enjoyable (like the first one). I did feel like Lara Jean was really stupid in this book though (regarding Peter). Obviously, Genevieve had something really bad going on and Peter was just helping him. I didn’t like how she handled that. I also didn’t like how she just dropped John just like that? Maybe there’ll be some more on that in the last story. Anyways, I did enjoy this book and I’m excited to see how the last book in this series will be!
Reread September 2018
I forgot how much I liked this one! I’m glad I decided to pick them up after re-watching the movie who knows how many times and now I’m finally ready to read the last book.

Jenny Han's follow-up to "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" is just as fluffy and sweet as the first. A quick read about high school friendships and romance, and the bittersweet triumphs of growing up, its strength is in its earnest characters - particularly "good girl" main character Lara Jean. Lara Jean is a model student, daughter, and friend - she bakes from scratch, volunteers at the local nursing home, and her hair is, apparently, always perfectly style - but somehow her innocence and perfectionism feel charming rather than cloying. A light read recommended for those in search of something not-to-serious, "P.S. I Still Love You" left me smiling.
i loooooooove john ambrose mclaren still v much on this reread. peter... a lot less. HOW DID GIRLIEPOP GIVE UP JOHN AMBROSE MCLARENNNN ugh this book fell off a bit esp w plot and deepness ig
This book captures what adolescent love is truly like from the eyes of a wholesome and family-oriented girl. I love Lara Jean, she’s such a dreamy eyed and hopeful character. I adore her.
This is my third read through and the other two times, I was Team Peter all the way, but after this last read, it’s really clear just how better suited John Ambrose and Lara Jean are.
One of my favorite things about this book is the role the sisters and Lara Jeans dad play into it. They give the book and the Lara Jean dimension.

I just love Lara Jean and Peter and though there are times I want to shake them and just have them talk it out I understand that teens probably wouldn't do that so this is a more realistic take on relationships. I think Jenny Han does such a good job of capturing all the emotions of a teen in a relationship and I can't wait to read the next book.
This book broke my heart and put it back together again.
