Amazing. It felt like I was watching a Marvel movie, instead of just reading an action book. I had very real feelings for the characters.

2.75*

So I am not the biggest Marvel fan but Black Widow is a superhero I really like. I was excited to read this book due to it revolving around her. I don't think I really understood what the book was about until I got halfway into it though. My favorite character was Alexei. He was really interesting and I enjoyed him as a character. I don't feel like the characterization (general) was the absolute best, it fell kinda flat for most of the book. The ending was okay, not great but not bad.

The more I think about this book, I realize I didn't care for it. It was confusing at parts, didn't make sense a lot of the time, and just felt flat for the most part. I normally enjoy books based in DC, Star Wars, etc. and I didn't enjoy this one. I think it needed to be flushed out more and maybe have a different format?

I was expecting more Natasha Romanoff povs. It was more concentrated on Ava and Alexei. But loved it nevertheless. Natasha, her past and her inner conflicts were well written.

Why do I feel like I keep reading books that have so much potential but just fail because of the romance vein?

absolutely loved it! if it wasn’t for the ending this would of been 5 starts.. i’m butthurt and will continue to holdback tears while at work and once i’m in my car i will let it all out.

Wow!
slow-paced

This book was actually well written but the characters just felt so flat and the plot never really hooks you in. The book was also more about the two teen characters than it was about Black Widow. Not terrible but a fairly forgettable book.
