I'm not going to spend a lot of time on these reviews for the Harry Potter books since I am sure there is not much I could say that hasn't been said. I decided to listen to the entirety of this series on audio, which was a fantastic decision. The narrator is Jim Dale, and he did such an excellent job bringing the world of Harry Potter along with every single one of the characters to life. Rowling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1474154022l/3._SY75_.jpg|4640799] is just under 8.5 hours on audiobook, so it is definitely one of the quickest to get through. Here we get an introduction to Harry's life with the Dursleys and watch him go to Hogwarts for the very first time.
Once I started listening to the series, I couldn't stop, and I ended up listening to all 7 books in about a week. I really love the way [a:J.K. Rowling|1077326|J.K. Rowling|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1596216614p2/1077326.jpg] wrote these books and the world she created is so full of magic that I never wanted to leave it. I just watched the movie of this book and though they definitely made a few changes, I have no less love for the movie. This is a wonderful series if you are looking for a bit of magic in your life and you want to completely lose yourself in a world like no other.

Really easy read but such a good story! Harry and the gang are destined for greatness… the dark lord grows power slowly but he will be back I have no doubt.
So magical ⚡️✨ I really wish I read this sooner. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series :)

I'm aware of the controversies by the author, but I do believe in separating the work from the creator. Everyone knows about the story of Harry Potter and why it is such a global favorite. I never got myself into the world of wizardry, and right now, must be my day. I won a reading contest here in the Philippines and receive a Harry Potter Series (In PDF) as my award. I decided to try out the first volume during my free time, and I've gotta say, this book might be the reason that I might turn into a potterhead.
I must confessed that I have watched the first film of Harry Potter going into this. So I do get a grip of what was going on in the book, and I know everyone who has read Harry Potter has said this. But I would like to agree with them on this, the book IS better than the movie. It has answered my questions about the movie which is an upvote for me. I didn't want to compare the movie and book that much, cause both have their uniqueness.
I have gotta to say how interesting and adventurous the book is and how the writing helps with picking up on how the story is being told. I did get confused with the Magical Jargons, but a simple search helps with the understanding of the world of wizards. I love Ron and Hermione's interaction the most. And also the book did a somewhat splendid job in hiding the antagonist's identity and motive. (The movie made it easier for me to idenify the villain right away hahahaha)
Overall, the book was great.

Way better than the films. Great characters, simple but efficient plot. Well written.
