A couple of the escapades were a touch… far-fetched, but the ending was definitely more action packed and fun than most Regency romance novels, especially ones featuring women in their 40s. No bodice ripping here.

For such a long book, I think some of the plot points and the characters were left underdeveloped. Instead of discussing three cases, I wish it had spent more time on the background mysteries.
