This was my first Andrea Bartz novel and I’m excited to read her others now! This had a unique plot that was gripping right from the beginning. It was a locked room style, pandemic based thriller full of twists and a touch of spice! I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it to anyone looking for a hard to put down thriller with a unique premise and plot different from most thrillers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine/Random House for my early digital copy for my thoughts and honest review!

By the end of this book, I was listening at 2.5 speed just to get through it. The plot never caught for me and it seemed like a book primarily about polyamory that just screams red flag.

I started this book last year and it was a really slow burn, so I shelved it for a while. I got the amazing opportunity to listen to this audiobook for free on the Penguin Random House app so I gave it another try, and I was just unimpressed.

This book moved too slow, the climax wasn’t particularly thrilling, and the ending was just kind of blah. I thought this book was a “thriller” and it didn’t seem like it could make up its mind whether it was a thriller, a romance, or womens fiction. I also expected far more spice for a book about a throuple. It was barely spicy at all!

The audiobook itself was well done, since Brittany Pressley was the narrator. She always does a fantastic job!

If you’re looking for spice, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a thriller, this also isn’t it. I was pretty disappointed since the premise was so scandalous!

Thank you so much to Penguin Random House Audio for the gifted copy of this audiobook!
